Third times a charm …
I knew when I went to bed last night I would title today’s post this …. and why.
The first time we tried to get our family photos done this year, lousy weather blew in just a few hours before. The second time, the weather was perfect but we forgot about daylight savings time and had no light.
Last night, the planets aligned and things were perfect. The weather was beautiful, the wind was not too strong (which in itself is a small miracle for Oklahoma!) the light was right, and the kids were actually not complete monsters (the promise of ice cream after might have played a small part in that.)
Best of all was the talent and patience of the man photographing us. I planned to come on here and mention how happy I am that our families have gotten better acquainted, and that I hope we become even better friends as time passes ……….. but he pretty much beat me to the punch.
Thanks, Jim! Can’t wait to see the rest!
PS. Those of you on our Christmas card list, act surprised when this photo, or one very similar, shows up in your mailbox next month.

Donna, that’s funny. I didn’t notice it …. actually, Kellen had cut his hand on recess that day and winced every time I grabbed it, so I was trying to be careful ….. didn’t think about which finger I wasn’t holding tightly, ha!
Jacqueline, I don’t think I get the ac/dc reference… but something tells me its probably funny, so you should explain it to me!

What a great picture! Props to the photographer. Props to the Escoe family, too – he had good subject matter to work with!

I love this photo! You look so skinny!!!
And I think its awesome you guys are all walking- at the same time- in the same direction!
I am thinking what a funny thing it would be to get all of my family to walk in the same direction for a photo.

Eh…nothing to get really. AC/DC was in OKC Wednesday night…I went…the whole time, I was thinking, “it would be so awesome and so funny if Kristie were here too!” Wasn’t sure if that was your kind of thing, but tought I would ask. BTW, on the marquee at the Ford center, it said TSO will be there next month (I think)…better get your tickets
PS AC/DC totally rocked out…awesome show…did anyone else on here go?
PPS And how validated do I feel that Kristie spoke to me via comments? Yeah, I rock

Kristie,
That is one beautiful picture.
I have been following you since Kendrie’s Caringbridge page and look how far you’ve come!
You are very blessed.
PS. We JUST got a Sonic in this neck of the woods and Oh. Em. Gee. I am in trouble. Ok, now I see what you’re talking about. Cream-pie shakes????!! This is very bad.

I love that picture — it’s fabulous! I can’t believe how tall Brayden has gotten. Wow…. So would you mind if I borred this pose and tried it for our family picture this year? Of course, that would mean that we have to first find outfits for all four of us that coordinate in some manner and then get our children to act like they like each other…. LOL

Beautiful photo — but when did these kids get so tall?!
