The good and the bad
The good news: Defective processors are apparently not a common problem in computers.
The bad news: That is what the diagnostic test at Best Buy determined was wrong with my computer.
The good news: For ONCE in my life, I had the sense God gave a goose and purchased the extended warranty, which means the defective processor will be replaced at no charge.
The bad news: They don’t replace them on site, so it will have to be sent away, and I will not have my computer back for two to three more weeks. This is in addition to the ten days it has already been gone.
The bad news: Best Buy charges a ton of money to back up hard drives.
The good news: I had the good sense, for ONCE, to have the Tech Dude back up my hard drive for about a third of the cost.
The good news: I got to take family portraits for both my sister’s family, and a friend’s family, this Thanksgiving weekend. I am taking Santa portraits at school next Friday.
The bad news: My photo editing program? Yep, on the desktop. At Best Buy. Or wherever Best Buy is going to ship it for repair. For another two to three weeks. Considering both these families want these photos for Christmas cards, and I also need to get the kids’ photos done quickly, I’d say some ingenuity is in order.
The good news: Although limited, I do at least have this laptop for e-mail, facebook, and updating this blog.
The bad news: Um, well, it’s Thanksgiving weekend. I have leftovers in the fridge, beautiful weather, good friends and family to take photos of, rented movies in the DVD player, Christmas decorations to put up, a new sofa being delivered tomorrow, the contractors almost finished upstairs, and my family here with me. There *IS* no bad news.

I am exceedingly happy to hear that, ultimately, there really IS no bad news. May this entire holiday season be filled with nothing but good news for the whole Escoe family! :<)
with love….

Hooray for no bad news. So thankful for times like that.
Ooh new sofa- I may just have to swing by to ooh and ahh.
Good luck with the photos. Beautiful weather today for them!
And … just how are you doing all these photos without your computer? Do you need to come borrow our computer?
